WINTER CLASSES BEGIN JAN 10

Ready to get back to Broadway? We're here to keep you safe and singing all Winter long!

Stages is dedicated to doing our part to reduce the impact of Covid-19 by complying with all city and state restrictions. We are taking every measure to ensure that your return to in-person classes is a safe one including:

  • Fully vaccinated teaching team.

  • Small class sizes and socially distanced set-up.

  • Mandatory masks for everyone over the Age of 2yrs.

 

UPDATED COVID POLICIES [Effective January 10, 2022]

  • Everyone over the age of 5 will be REQUIRED to show proof of vaccination in order to attend class.

    • You may either show your vaccine card at the door or send a photo of your vaccine card to info@stageschicago.com prior to the start of class.

    • If you are registered for the full session or semester of classes we will keep your vaccination information on file so that you don’t have to show it every week.

    • If a new adult is bringing your child to a class that caregivers attend (Broadway & Me, Broadway Mini-Stars, or Lullaby League), they MUST show proof of vaccination in order to enter the building. Advance notice of additional or different caregiver attendance is strongly encouraged.

  • If anyone over the age of 5 is NOT vaccinated, you will be required to show proof of a negative COVID test in order to attend class. THIS WILL BE REQUIRED FOR EVERY CLASS, EVERY WEEK.

Virtual Classes

Braodway Little Stars (Ages 3-5yr)


Introduce your preschooler to the magic of musical theater in this interactive class designed to support their motor, language, and social-emotional development through singing, dancing, and acting! Developed by a professional performer turned child development specialist, Little Stars Virtual Classes are taught by Colin Funk and utilize our signature "show of the week" model and interactive activities to introduce your preschooler to elements of traditional performing arts classes all from the comfort and safety of your own home! Tuesday 3:00pm - 3:30pm





In-Person Classes

Lullaby League (0-9mo)


A new class for new babies, new parents, and caregivers! What do you get when you combine the best music class in the city with an opportunity to connect with other new parents and caregivers PLUS chat about your little one's development with a licensed Developmental Therapist? The perfect first music class for Broadway Babies and their adults! Introducing Lullaby League. Created and taught by professional performers who also have M.S. degrees in Child Development from Erikson Institute, Lullaby League offers a unique opportunity to engage with your little one in a musical environment while learning about their physical, cognitive, social-emotional, and language development. Each week, infants and their caregivers are introduced to exciting new sensory experiences, songs, and stories as Broadway Musicals are brought to life in a 30min edition of Broadway & Me. After music time, teachers will moderate an informal discussion about an aspect of your little one's developmental journey as well as answer all of your burning questions. Broadway Mini-Stars (2-3yr)


Feeling like your Broadway Baby is ready for the next step? Then this 60min class is just for you! Broadway Mini-Stars uses the magic of musical theater to help ease the transition from toddler to preschooler by combining the Broadway & Me class you know and love with structured activities designed to encourage independence and help your little one adapt to a group classroom setting. Each week, little Broadway fans and caregivers are introduced to exciting new songs, characters, and stories as Broadway Musicals are brought to life by a team of professional teaching artists. After that, it’s time to dive into a process art activity inspired by the show of the week. Created by a professional performer turned early childhood development specialist, Broadway Mini-Stars is both entertaining and developmentally appropriate! Broadway Prep Preschool Pod (2.5-5yr)


Sample Curriculum Broadway Prep is the ultimate creative learning experience for children ages 2.5 – 5 years old! Developed by a professional performer turned child development specialist, Broadway Prep combines the creativity and energy of musical theater classes with a play-based curriculum, giving children the opportunity to explore and learn through movement, music, art, and dramatic play. Each week parents will be provided with pictures from class as well as a Weekly Report sharing information about the week’s activities and their child’s individual development and learning. Broadway Prep Pods are limited to 12 children in order to ensure a safe and personalized learning environment. Stages is committed to making our classes available and affordable for all families. Broadway Stars (Grades K-3)


Broadway Stars was created by a professional performer turned child development specialist with the primary goal of helping young children develop the foundational skills and technique every musical theater performer needs through fun, developmentally appropriate classes. Taught by a professional teaching artist with years of experience both in the classroom and on professional stages, Broadway Stars features a customized curriculum designed to challenge and showcase the strengths of each young performer.

Each week, children participate in acting games, choreography rehearsal, and vocal coachings as they learn songs from Broadway Musicals! And the BEST part? Each Semester culminates with a performance in which your Broadway Star will get to perform for friends and family!

Whether your child is destined for the lights of Broadway or simply loves to perform with their friends, this class will spark their creativity and give them the confidence to shine both onstage and off.

Broadway Stages (Grades 4-8)


Broadway Stages was created by a professional performer turned child development specialist with the primary goal of helping young children develop the foundational skills and technique every musical theater performer needs through fun, developmentally appropriate classes. Taught by a team of professional musical theater performers with years of experience both in the classroom and on professional stages, students are given the opportunity to learn from the best as they receive individualized attention and feedback. Each week, young performers will participate in acting games used at every level of training to foster imagination and improvisational skills while working together as a "cast" to learn and rehearse musical numbers from Broadway shows. And the BEST part? Each Semester culminates with a performance in which your Broadway Star will get to perform for friends and family!

Whether your child is destined for the lights of Broadway or simply loves to perform with their friends, this class will spark their creativity and give them the confidence to shine both onstage and off.

Created by a professional performer turned early childhood development specialist, Broadway & Me's unique curriculum is both entertaining and developmentally appropriate. Each class incorporates activities that are designed to support your little one’s physical, cognitive, social-emotional, and language development. *Masks are required for all adults and children over the age of 2yr when indoors or outdoors when not on their mats. Broadway at Play (2.5-4yr)


After a successful sold out summer of Broadway Mini-Camps, Stages and Play2Day are excited to team up again to bring you a new class! Broadway at Play is the ultimate creative learning experience for children ages 2-4 years old! Developed by a professional performer turned child development specialist, Broadway at Play combines the creativity and energy of musical theater classes with a play-based curriculum, giving children the opportunity to explore and learn through movement, music, art, and dramatic play. This two hour drop-off class is the perfect way to bridge the gap between caregiver attended classes and more formal school environments! Broadway Little Stars (3-5yr)


Preschoolers can now experience the magic of Broadway with a class designed specifically for them! Each week, Broadway Little Stars introduces preschoolers to a new musical through activities inspired by the “show of the week” and designed to get them singing, dancing, and acting along. Classes are taught by professional teaching artists who are experts at engaging and educating children in fun, developmentally appropriate ways. Whether your child is ready for the spotlight or simply loves musicals, this class is for them!
